Applied Kinesiology
AK is a technique of communicating with the body by using the body's
electromagnetic energy (much like the biofeedback received from an
electrocardiogram) to detect organ and nutritional strengths or
deficiencies. It also assists in determining the most effective course of
healing for a particular individual. By stimulating the body's energy
meridians, a trained professional can observe and translate nutritional
message from the body's bio-electrical system.
Applied
Kinesiology is one of the fastest growing natural therapies in the
world. Practiced in over 100 countries, many believe it is the most
effective stand-alone technology of the future in alternative medicine.
Kinesiology is used to detect and release blockages in the energy
pathways of the body. These blockages can be caused by physical,
emotional, biochemical or electromagnetic stressors. Through rebalancing
its energies, the body's innate healing ability is restored, thereby
improving health, enhancing performance, reducing stress and enabling us
to achieve our highest potentials.

Autonomic Response Testing (ART)
Autonomic Response Testing
(ART),
also known as Applied Kinesiology (AK), is a simple safe, natural method of
analyzing the body's structural, physical, mental, emotional and
nutritional needs. Imbalances or deficiency in any of these areas could
cause or contribute to various acute or chronic health problems.
ART is a technique that utilizes a muscle
response as an indicator and assessment of the
life force or bio-electrical status of each
organ, gland, system, or structure. This energy assessment is accomplished
by testing bio-electrical reflexes, which relate to acupuncture points and
meridians (the body's bio-electrical pathways), and monitoring the
reactance of the muscle when in contact with these points.
Too often, the
symptoms of health problems are treated while the underlying cause of the
problem continues to go undetected. For example, headaches are treated
with aspirin, coughs are treated with cough medicine. If these symptoms
persist, expensive tests are run and stronger medications are prescribed. With
ART, a practitioner can determine is a
health problem is structural, physical, nutritional, mental or emotional.
ART is
not a method of diagnosis. It is a means by which a health
practitioner uses the body's electrical pathways to accurately determine the root
cause of health problems.
Autonomic
Response Testing, is a
technique based on the bio-electrical reflexes of the body that
correspond brain signaling, organs, and metabolic processes. When an
organ is imbalanced, there is either increased or decreased electrical
activity around that reflex. The practitioner can pick up that signal
through a simple muscle testing procedure. For example, there are
reflexes to indicate if and why a person is retaining fluid. Fluid is
responsible in many cases of obesity. There are reflexes for yeast
infection, staphylococcus, streptococcus, tired blood (anemia),
reproductive problems, parasites airborne allergies, virus, gall
bladder, spleen etc. In many cases, a reflex will point to a problem
that is sub-clinical or simply went undetected by traditional medical
forms of testing.
How does Autonomic Response
Testing
work?
Hundreds of miles of nerves
carry electrical energy and connect with every organ, gland, muscle and
tissue. There are approximately 75 known reflex areas on the skin which
represent various organs, glands and bone structures. When the body becomes ill there is an interruption of nerve energy to
these reflexes. The reflex, when tested, will act similar to a circuit
breaker under an overload.
To test a
bio-electrical reflex, the ART
or Applied Kinesiology practitioner will use the subject's arm
muscle (or any other muscle) as
a "circuit" indicator. When the practitioner's fingertip comes near or
touches a healthy reflex, the arm muscle will remain very strong. Nerve
energy is flowing freely. The practitioner will not be able to push the
person's arm down without exerting significant force.
If the deltoid muscle
spontaneously fails, and the practitioner can easily push the subject's
arm down, a "hot circuit breaker" has been located. The bio-electrcal
nerve energy has been interrupted. There is either an excess or deficiency
of electrical nerve impulses flowing to the test muscle. Using this
bio-feedback information, the practitioner will know if the problem is
structural, physical or nutritional.
